The very popular annual Milford on Sea Music and Arts Festival is almost upon us. Every year there is something different to look forward to and this year is no exception! Being the Centenary of the end of the First World War there is much going on in the country to reflect this. A new, no pressure, non-auditioned choir for adults in the heart of Poole at The Spire, Poole High Street. Have fun, meet new people and most of all, sing for the joy of singing. Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society’s summer production is ‘Present Laughter’ by Noel Coward directed by Jenny Green. Written by Coward in 1939 and first performed in 1942, the plot follows a few days in the life of the successful and self-obsessed matinee idol, Garry Essendine, as he prepares to travel for a touring commitment in Africa.  Amid a series of events bordering on farce, Garry has to deal with women who want to seduce him, placate both his long-suffering secretary and estranged wife, cope with a crazed playwright, and overcome his mid-life crisis.  The story was described by Coward as
