  ‘Shadows Over Whitechapel’, directed by Shipa Khatun a gripping new stage play about the Jack the Ripper case, has been written by Katy Nutt and the Scaplen’s team. With strong local connections through Chief Inspector Frederick George Abberline and suspect Montague John Druitt. This locally written play blends historical fact and mystery, telling the fascinating story and challenges the legends surrounding the Ripper, and the women whose identities were defined by their tragic deaths. New Forest Players presents A Bunch of Amateurs A comedy by Ian Hislop & Nick Newman ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’ tells the story of a fading Hollywood action hero, Jefferson Steele, who is keen to boost his flagging career, he arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford only to find that this is not the birthplace of the Bard but a sleepy Suffolk village and the cast are a bunch of amateurs.
