    20 March 2020: Coronavirus Update

Today, in increasing efforts to contain and prevent the further spread of coronavirus, the Government has ordered all theatres to officially close until further notice. Although we would all wish that the “show could go on”, this is not possible at the present time – public health and safety must come before all else, though we share your disappointment at the necessary temporary halt to performances.

Please keep watching for information of rearranged productions once these unprecedented measures have been lifted and offer your support where you can.

The Scene One+ Team hope you stay well, comply with all the precautions that are being put in place for your safety in the meantime, and join us when the curtain goes up once more.

‘Medieval Murder Mystery Walk’ by the Castle

Travel back in time and join our period costumed characters on a twilight walk in the shadow of the spectacular ruins of Corfe Castle.

The Anarchy, 1141, the civil war between King Stephen and the Empress Matilda. In this time of distrust and political intrigue Local Barons take advantage of the situation and change sides to suit their interests. Enter one Edgar De Redvers to track down and put a stop to Simony – the sale of fake Holy Relics. He is to continue his investigations with three lunchtime companions on an evening stroll. Who knows what secrets and plots are simmering beneath the tranquil surface of the beautiful Dorset countryside, just waiting to ferment & erupt into a chain of events leading to MURDER!

Numbers may be limited due to Covid so book early!

Unfortunately, the walk route is unsuitable for wheelchairs.

London Repertory Players present Deathtrap by Ira Levin

Deathtrap holds the record for the longest-running comedy-thriller on Broadway and was nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Play...

… and was adapted into a 1982 film starring Christopher Reeve, Michael Caine and Dyan Cannon.

Sidney Bruhl, a previously successful playwright, has had a series of box office flops and is having trouble writing. He receives a play from a student of his, Clifford, and tells his wife the play is a certain hit and that he may have to kill Clifford to claim it as his own.

A terrifying thriller from the author of Rosemary’s Baby.

‘More twists than a bucket of snakes’ – Daily Telegraph

The production runs at the Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne, including LRP favourites Victoria Porter, Al Wadlan and Claire Fisher.
