Twists and turns abound in Emlyn Williams’ classic 1930s psychological thriller. Dan a charming and manipulative young man, gets a job as personal assistant of cantankerous and bedridden widow Mrs Branson. But as he insinuates himself into her life it becomes clear that he has ulterior motives. Dan's true nature is revealed in a shocking and violent climax.
