Studio Theatre Salisbury  Steele Magnolias Written by Robert Harling Directed by Anthony von Roretz Truvy runs a beauty parlour in Louisiana where a group of women gather to gossip, discuss Shelby’s upcoming wedding and each other. Robert Harling’s much-loved play became an award-winning film and won an Oscar nomination for Julia Roberts’ Shelby. The stellar cast included Shirley MacLaine and Dolly Parton. Anthony von Roretz directs our own stellar cast of Studio women, some familiar and some new faces. Be prepared to laugh a lot but bring a hankie.
