The Memory Of Water

Written by Shelagh Stephenson
Directed by Anne Charbel

This is a poignant and very witty play in which three sisters gather at their mother’s home for her funeral. They discuss memories of childhood, which inevitably leads to disagreement on the detail – to great comedic effect!

Their reminiscences and relationships are encapsulated in some very sharp and moving dialogue.

The play won the Sony award for Best Original Drama in 1997, and Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2000.

Tickets: Standard £14 with concessions; Available online.
