Can you solve the crime? Fancy yourself as a bit of an Inspector Poirot or a Sherlock Holmes? Love a murder mystery? Into History and love to walk amongst beautiful scenery?
Then Murder Walk By The Castle is definitely for you! At £5 per ticket, it’s an absolute steal and well worth just over an hour’s worth of entertainment!
Meet at North Castle field just north of the castle ruins and travel back in time to 1834 where you will be introduced to Inspector Trueman (Dougal Dixon), who has come all the way from London to solve the murder of Sir Phillip Moore. Joining the walk are his wife Lady Catherine (Lyndsay Dixon), daughter Bess (Katie Holloway), Dr Daniel Miller (Rob Schofield) and ex soldier Jethro Brine (Nick Jubber). Along with a little urchin boy Jack (Rafe Jubber) and a hilarious old lady, (Linda Coulson as Old Meg), whose performance was just brilliant, she had the crowd in stitches.
The stories of the cast members and their relationship to the deceased, and possible reasons for either one of them murdering Sir Phillip, unfold along a beautiful walk under the ruins of Corfe Castle.
Parts of the story were historical and very interesting, and of course there were some twists and turns and revelations. The crowd really got involved with jeers, gasps and laughs and the cast really played up to the interactions with the audience, all of them acted their parts really well, keeping in character and looking like they were really enjoying themselves.
Such a fun evening, really enjoyable and all for a fiver a ticket!
There are more performances on the 21st, 23rd, 28th and 30th July, and 4th and 6th August, so plenty of opportunity to see the show and see if you can work out who the murderer is whilst walking in the glorious ruins of Corfe Castle!
