
‘Shadows Over Whitechapel’, directed by Shipa Khatun a gripping new stage play about the Jack the Ripper case, has been written by Katy Nutt and the Scaplen’s team. With strong local connections through Chief Inspector Frederick George Abberline and suspect Montague John Druitt. This locally written play blends historical fact and mystery, telling the fascinating story and challenges the legends surrounding the Ripper, and the women whose identities were defined by their tragic deaths. Our production includes historic content, the enduring mystery and the personal involvement in one of the most famous, unsolved cases.
